Description of Locomotive Portraits
Railway artwork has existed so long as there have been Railways. Many well-known names have included some facet of railways of their work, notably Claude Monet and J M W Turner. This custom has been saved alive by the formation within the UK of the Guild of Railway Artists, which now consists of over 200 artists, of which Jonathan Clay is one. Over the previous couple of years, Jonathan has had many requests to supply his personal guide of images, and, having relented ultimately, that is the outcome.

In order to save lots of time for his first ever railway occasion in 1999, he painted a sequence of locomotive photos with out backgrounds, intending so as to add the surroundings later. However, they bought so nicely, that they turned the norm, and the sequence of ‘Locomotive Portraits’ was born.
